It was Hague - Alan, I think. I'll check.

You are right Jerry.  I couldn't think of his last name for a bit there...but knew it started with and H. But his first name is Alan

Will miracles never cease ?! I can't even remember what I had for breakfast this morning (and I'm eating it right now). The only thing I can think of, is that he either owed me money, or, more likely, I owed him !    Walter 'Fringe' DeGraw

Alan Hague married Peggy Hoyt (a member of our class).  When our South High group were down in Mesquite on our semi-annual golf outing last November, we ran into Peggy and Alan at the Purple Fez restaurant in the Casa Blanca hotel.  It was really good to see them.

(Oh, and Paul, in referring to Alan's occupation I think you meant "DJ" rather than "JD")

Hey Jerry,  I have a great spot in my garage where that black '57 would fit.  I guess I should have kept it.   So I am not the only one to have those dreams where you cannot remember your locker combination, or where it is located or for that matter what class you are missing.

Hi Paul,  talk about a blast from the past...glad to see you are doing well (for an old guy).

I do not post often but it is fun to check in occasionally to see what is going on.

I remember Allan, he was our DJ at the March of Dimes Fund Raiser we had at the Capital Building ... that was a fun night :)  I really appreciated his volunteering (did it for free) and the others he brought in that made the dance fun ... wish I had some pictures taken to remember more about it all ...

Ross, you should check in more often ... isn't it you we get reports on (that Jerry terrorizes once in awhile)???  Hey Jerry, is this the Ross mentioned now and again on your messages ??? or is it someone else ???  Just curious :)

Yes, Cathy, He is One and the Same. We are still thinking about those days of sluffing class (rarely), hopping in the blue Corvette, and totally, euphorically, suround-sounding ourselves in 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' !!  Wow !  Where is my Delorean when I need it most ?! (I never did obtain a 'Mr. Fusion', however, and plutonium is as hard as ever to obtain ( now that the Terrorists are on to us ) !  [yes, really did have a twin-turbo Delorean - probably the only weird vehicle I regret selling].  Ross, is Doug OK ?  I am still having a hard time listening to KSL, so I listen to talk radio to find out how we can get rid of Obama.  keep Smilin' !     Doc Brown DeGraw    PS - Ross, nowadays I can't even remember where the School is, let alone my combo !

Does anyone want to try to get together for another informal meeting like we had at Fairmont Park last summer?  If so, does anyone have an indoor facility that can accommodate a bunch of old cubbies?  I was thinking maybe Presidents Day weekend around February 19 to chase away the mid-winter blues and cabin fever.  If not, we can try for Fairmont Park again this June.  It's probably time to reserve the park anyway if we want to get together this summer.

Randy Hinerman says that Spain is nice this time of year (having just returned, after floating around on gondolas for 16 days). Perhaps Tony (last name withheld){wow, how many words do u know of that have a double-H in it ?} could spring for a Geezer Cruise (all in favor say "Yaris" [which means "aye in Japanese]). Maybe we better slow down a bit or We'll have too many options to choose from. What say ye, Bart ?    Jeri Ferrari DeGrawski

If you would like to get a space to get together in, consider the meeting rooms at the Salt Lake County Libraries. They are free. Sandy Library and Kearns Library have meeting rooms that will hold up to 80 and the others have smaller rooms that will hold between 40 and 70 people.

Hi everybody, Been a while for me as well to look in on this site. Torsten, is that rabbit related to the one that starred in Monty Python and the Holy Grail? Everyone sounds good, and Degraw, your still whacked, has to be those Balliff Hall days. Hope all is well with everyone.  Buck

Buck, I believe your diagnosis is quite correct - this is what comes from spending soooo much time in that Great and Spacious Building !

What was I thinking, Buzz? The library, of course, is no place for shooting the bull and tieing one on. (Spoken by a person who doesn't do much of either, sad to say.)    Charlotte

Paul, Anne ist gut ! Relative ?  Buzzola, coincidently, 9-tee  happens to b the name of my club - it usually takes nine  or ten swings to get that little white ball on it's way, and that's on a good day (when I can see forever) !     Adolf Von Palmer

O.K Jerry, charlotte and Bart. I could host that party in February. My house can handel 80 people or so! Having a sleep over might be a little tough for that many people but the pool is heated and the hot tub is hot. My pool table hasen't been used in years and the bar is stocked. and I forgot to mention the weather is not so bad either. Uasley somewhere in the seventies.

So pick a day, get in your cars, plains and motorcycles and just point them South. What do yo all think?

Randy

Sorry Jerry and Charlotte, I'm headed to Randy's house. Be back in a couple of days (a quick bender) Charlotte. Randy, what time did that bar of yours open?   Marco.

Well, damn, I'm just not a party girl. Have fun, Buzz! Sober up before you drive back - I could be driving south on I-15 sometime during the week. Charlotte

That does it. If you're not going, I'm not going. I don't drive any other way!

Randy, I'm game. Most of us would welcome a retreat from this deep freeze ! Need to head for Nebraska first (feb 10). Is your Leche 1% or 2% ? {or is it rated in terms of 'proof' in Vegas?} Joining Patriot Guard Riders 2nite [had 2 wait 2 get a Harley first - didn't know how they would feel about me showing up on the Scooter]. Ever thot of joining ?   Peter Fonda Sans Honda     PS - Buzz, can you use a designated driver ? Can you straddle a couple of saddlebags ?

02/02/11 10:41 AM #528

Woody Hendrickson

Jerry,

Though I've never joined, I have ridden with the Patriot Guard Riders a couple of times.  It really doesn't matter what you ride, just that you ride.  What kind of Harley did you get?

Jerald DeGraw

Hi Woody ! Now ya' tell me - could'a saved some of that now-scarce dough and stuck with the scooter AND been in better standing with my Bishop and Neighbors ! Didn't want to be a total emarrasment to Randy, tho' - it's bad enough drinking milk with the Harley Boys, while they chug down on the hard stuff (you know- Diet Coke). It's a Heritage Softail Classic. Never thought I'd be joining a 'Gang', but Ya' know, I really like honoring those who serve our Nation (what's left of it). They all deserve a lot of Honor and Thanks (many of them are You Cubs !  THANKS !!).  Besides, any chance to wear my chrome 'Spike' Helmet, I'll take.  Keep Smilin', you all !  Oh, PS - I visited with Gloria today - She's anxious to get back online with everyone.    PS2 - This message took me about an hour cuz my computer crashed on me this morning and I am trying to use the same laptop that I used in the 60's.    Spike

Oh, Jerry, no problem.....frontwards or backwards. Done it both ways.

Hello all, I'm back with the living. Thought I was going to die. While in Spain I picked up the H1N1 flu' vires. Boy that was a lot of fun!!!!!! Don't let anyone give you a bad time Jerry. I had a 1999 Heritage Classic once. It was a good bike they look cool. It doesn't matter what kind of bike you have, just get out and ride when you get a chance. I've had many different bikes in my life but I must say that this 2009 Harley Screamin Eagle Road Glide that I'm riding now is the best motorcycle I've ever owned. It's like riding a supped up Caddy.

You all take care,

Randy.

PS  Jerry--- think Laughlin river run?? end of April
