Thanks for the birthday wishes!  Speaking of getting old, I noticed a few of you posting some 'senior' moments.  Well, we all have them I supposed....I was ironing a shirt for my husband Glen and noticed how 'lemony' the starch smelled and how easy the iron was gliding across the shirt.  When I put the starch back on the shelf, I noticed it was PLEDGE!  He sure smelled good that day!

......Snicket {see above}.  Live chat ?....what live chat ? Never heard of it.....at least in These Realms  - here it is Live Telepathy.....Good Vibes and all that - think of the $ it could save. Give it a try, right now...... do The Beach Boys come to mind ? Are you receiving a piece of my mind right now? (it may result in a very much needed therapy session soon) OR, at minimum, the 'Forum' will never be the same - at least we will all be on the same, DEMENTED wavelength.      El Dementoro

I've wondered about live chat.  I've gone in there a few times to take a peak, and never have found anyone.  Or course it probably doesn't help that it is usually between 2 and 3 AM.  I guess everyone is sleeping.   Do they sleep in your strange, special universe Jerry?

I sure have enjoyed your videos, Paul.  Some I have played numerous times. Nothing like flashbacks into the 'good ole days"!

Mighty quiet out there....

You're welcome Gloria, I don't think I've had them for 40 years plus. But I remember them as yummy, and have had them baked by others. Maybe one day I will try to make them again.  Not much into baking these days.  Life seems too non-stop.

This mom is trying to cope, having just sent off her (baby) son to Army Officer Candidate training.  I'm very proud of his willingness to serve our country, and his sacrifice of his time away from family, and his little family's as well.  But it is very hard on a mother's heart in this day and age, to see him go out a fight in such a scary world.

HELLO GUYS,  I CAN SEND OUT A MESSAGE TO THE WHOLE GROUP ABOUT LIVE CHAT TIME IF YOU WANT TO PICK A TIME THAT WORKS FOR YOU GUYS. WE COULD SEE HOW IT WORKS. I JUST RETURNED FROM LOS CABO WITH BARNUM, CHIVERS AND DIVINO AND WE REALLY REMEMBERED GREAT MEMORIES AND STORIES ABOUT OUR TIME TOGETHER AT SOUTH. SOME OF US ARE PLAYING GOLF ON A REGULAR BASIS AND MY HOPE WOULD BE THAT MANY OF THE REST OF OUR CLASSMATES MIGHT MEET FOR A LUNCH OR A PLACE/EVENT TO CONTINUE THE VISITING IN PERSON. ROD JONES CALLED AND SAID HE WOULD LIKE TO HOOK UP TOO.

IF ANYONE WANTS TO HAVE THE CLASS KNOW ABOUT AN EVENT OR FUNERAL ETC. PLEASE LET ME KNOW. MOST OF US WOULD WELCOME THE ABILITY TO REACT OR SUPPORT SUCH OCCASIONS.

DOES ANYONE WANT TO POST THEIR REUNION PICTURES?

WHAT ABOUT THAT UTAH GAME...THRASHING? OFF TO NOTRE DAME TO SEE IF THEY CAN TOW THE LINE BETTER. HOPE SO.

PRES

Yo, Paul, It may work world-wide, but what about Universe a Universe ?  Although......' The Poor Side of Town ' made it thru, no worries Mate - I thought I even caught a glimpse of my old sparring Buddy, E. Parker (as whimpy as he was, sure heck of a nice Bloke).  Wait, hold the Fon (that's how they spell it here, don't ask me why), I am catching a cosmic glimpse of your latest offering - Wow - Patsy, Johnny, Tammy, Jimmy, Dancing Lights (especially popular up here amongst the stars), Chevy (not the talking truck), NAT, Bing, Josh Boy - what a collection !    Somewhere - Over - The - Rainbow    P.S. Pres, good thing you and the Boys didn't go the Carnival route this time around (although I just heard they got the 'potties' working now).

Back to the old age moments:

We have a combo VCR / DVD - Haven't made it to Blu Ray. Anyway was watching a DVD and wondered why it wouldn't rewind! Didn't get up off the couch - Just kept hitting the rewind button on the remote. And to think we HAD to get up and actually change to one of three channels!

Miss Gloria,

They don't have speed dating in SLC yet ? ? Wouldn't it be nice to get all the single SH Cub-Boys together and fix them up with old friends. You'll never know who had a crush on who back in the day ? ? ?

Hey guys,

Maybe someday I'll tell you about life in Salt Lake City, Utah and going to South High, there were times when life wasn't pretty and then there were times when life was just nasty, and that doesn't come close.

Then, I moved to Oregon! ! ! Jumped out of the bioling water into a frying pan , Utah and Oregon are two peas in an under cooked pod.

So, let's cut Reg a break        ? ? ?

Deborah Wendell (Williams)

Sonia,

Welcome to Oregon.  What part of Oregon do you live in? Some of Oregon I agree is awful and other parts it's wonderful.  You don't want to live around Portland or Salem areas.  West of Portland is wonderful place to live.

I have been here since 73 and it took me a long, long time to get use to everything. The people are in no rush, Rain, very skinny roads, Rain, what they call Mts. We called hills in Utah. and did I say Rain?

In the winter we hardly ever get snow. If we do it may last a week that is if we are lucky. Now on the other hand ice and fog is the big problem.

First year I was here Oregon had a record breaking ice storm.  You didn't drive on the roads. You pointed your car and slid.

I agree with you though Sonia. There is no place like Utah. I love Utah and miss it alot. And I love Oregon for all the trees and green grass in the summer.

Hey Sonja, I don't know if I ever told you that I threatended my mother that is she didn't get off my back I was going to ask you to marry me.  We were good buddies back then and you offered to make things right for me with someone who had ratted me in for fighting in the parking lot.  Either way I also had some crushes at South but never had the drive to tell them what I felt.  So much for energy being wasted on young poeple.

I like Press's idea of getting together occsionally. I tried to get Koji to invite me a round of golf with you guys 15 years ago but it never happened.  Mostly now I spend my golf outings with clients.

I'll try to stay in touch so I don't miss some sort of gathering.

Paul, I haven't seen that video in a while. David Lee Roth with his smouldering eyes; Eddie Van Halen so cute. But let's hope that the raggeddy clothes style of the 80's never returns.

I wonder how late Jerry stayed up last night.

Jerry was logged in, but not 'talking' when I checked in about 2:15, but within a few minutes he logged out.  It was kind of fun chatting earlier...even though I didn't get much work done.

Hey there ... how is everyone??? Haven't been on the forum for a little while and just wanted to check in ... I am visiting here in the big Salt City till tomorrow (get to see ultra sound of my twin grandchildren due in May - what better way to spend a Saturday morning)  ... well, just thought I would see if anyone was around to say hello!

Hey, Cathy, you've been missing all of the Chat Room stuff - it's 'The Talk of the Town' !  Welcome to Zion !

Bart Croxford

Just returned from St. George and golf with several other Cubbies: Koji Sato, Scott Seare, Steve Haycock, Jim Kilgore, Jeff Chivers, John Mathews, Jody Hilton, Jim Georgelas, Randy Stevenson, Buck Post, Mike Vranes, Ron Schmidt, Danny Royal, Randy Hinerman, Lee Heinhold, and Ron Terry even made an appearance.  We were all sitting in The Purple Fez in the Casablanca and in popped Alan and Peggy (Hoyt) Hague.  It was kind of like a mini-reunion again.  What a great bunch of guys and what a bunch of jokers!  The golf wasn't always great but the laughs were always plentiful!  The last two days we had four foursomes and that was without Tony Divino, Pres Miller, and Brent Barnum, who went to the Notre Dame fiasco (poor guys).

If anyone wants to join our demented group, we are planning on playing again next April.  Just let Scott Seare know you want to play and Koji would love to make a few bucks off of you on the golf course or at the card table.

Thanks Bart for the report on our semi-annual golf outing to St. George & Mesquite.  As always, A GREAT TIME WITH GREAT FRIENDS!!

Many of you know I put together a DVD of the photos I took at all three reunion events.  Taking Paul Michelson's advice, I uploaded it on VIMEO, a web site similar to YouTube that allows larger files with higher quality.  Below is the link:

http://www.vimeo.com/16951378

Let me know if this works for you.  If so, I'll try to upload the "Reflections" presentation shown at the reunion dinner.

Jeff, thanks for your efforts - will look forward to 'reflecting' !  Paul, Andrea and The Choir & 'Fount' are, well, Heavenly ! (fits right in to Space Cadet DeGrawski, right now).  Keep up the good work (the entire collection is GREAT !).

Great job on the pictures Jeff.  Though I didn't make it up to Midway, it was fun looking at the pictures and trying to figure out who is who.
