Michael, I think we had a history class together.  I've not contributed much to this forum.  Although, I do look forward to the reunion.  I enjoyed orchestra, Pep Club, choir and school in general.  I attended Nibley Park Elementary, Irving Junior High and Southeast Junior High.

I've retired and spent the last year getting medical issues taken care of.  I'm thankful for a good life, kind husband, and good friends.  Looking forward to see you all.

Suzanne, you will need to explain to me the mystery of Southeast Junior High.  Like, where was it?  I hope it didn't have the same end as my jr. high and end up as a mini mall.

Michael, we'll have to compare memories and see if we had classes together.  I'm hopeless at remembering who I had a class with except for orchestra because that was the same people sitting in the same place for 3 years.

Who had Miss Sorben for English?  I loved her.  Remember the short story, A Rose for Emily?  Creepy.

I'm getting excited for Friday night at Sugarhouse Park.

And an alligator to boot! I hope I don't offend anyone by sharing this but it was on Facebook today and just bizarrely over the top.

Douglas Avery's photo.

A married couple in Florida, Tito and Amanda Watts, were arrested a few days ago for selling “golden tickets to heaven” to hundreds of people.

They sold the tickets on the street for $99.99 per ticket, told buyers the tickets were made from solid gold, and that each ticket reserved the buyer a spot in heaven — simply present the ticket at the pearly gates and you’re in.

Tito Watts said in his police statement: "I don’t care what the police say. The tickets are solid gold… And it was Jesus who give them to me behind the KFC and said to sell them so I could get me some money to go to outer space. I met an alien named Stevie who said if I got the cash together he’d take me and my wife on his flying saucer to his planet that’s made entirely of drugs. You should arrest Jesus because he’s the one that gave me the golden tickets and said to sell them. I’m willing to wear a wire and set Jesus up...."

Amanda Watts said in her police statement:" "We just wanted to leave earth and go to space and do drugs. I didn’t do nothing. Tito sold the golden tickets to heaven. I just watched."

Police said they confiscated over $10,000 in cash, drug paraphernalia, and a baby alligator.

Michael, I'm fantastic..... for a fat old lady. Why did you think I am sick?

Now I would like to state that I am sorry I started a war here, but I was only stating comments, that y'all said during and after the last reunion. Several cubs, asked why we never have the reunion at South, and I replied, that it was a college now, and they don't have enough parking.  As for the park, everyone loved it and said how shady it is with all the old trees, and that there was so much to do there.

I don't know why I'm apologizing again. I have feelings too.

I was not criticizing the alumni, association.  Tony announced on here that we were able to reserve South. I don't see why we need a meal, Hell a few of us could pick up chips and dips. $25 just for dinner seems high we could all go over to Chuck-A-Rama for less.  Or we could have a good old redneck  tailgate party. And there is always Domino's.

PLEASE PRAY

FOR PAT HAMILTON'S YOUNGEST GRAND DAUGHTER.

I KNOW  THAT SOUNDS ODD COMING FROM A HEATHEN LIKE ME, But this lil one is only 4 and she was walking her dog when another dog came out and attacked her dog. She held onto the leash but the dog pulled her out and across the road. She has a lot of road burn and bruises, but now she is having seizures so they can't take her home from the hospital.

Gary Bell, I hope you can make it to one of the functions.  That's quite a load you are dealing with and it would be great to see you.

What a brave little grand daughter Pat Hamilton has.  We'll be glad to keep her in our prayers.

In answer to Deeann -- Southeast Junior High was south of 2700 S and up east about 2000 E.  Irving Junior High closed after our 7th grade and we went to Southeast Junior High for our 8th and 9th grad.  I lived on the outer south and east boundaries of South High boundaries.

I had a Miss Sorenson for English.  I might be remembering the last name incorrectly (and it is Sorben) but,  she was my favorite teacher at South High.

Nate was the first of many candiates to make it official today, the first official day of filing, for Salt Lake City Council District 4.  Here he is with our family and his love, Kate, (the lady to his right).

nice looking family, Chuck, and such cute grandkids, you have a right to be proud.

Thank you for your kinds words Gloria.  The G-kids brought life full circle for me and its reassuring to know they won't be raised like I was.

Provacative post Paul.  Nate is running against Derek Kitchen and Babs De Lay,  both from the LGBT community. Close to your concern but no cigar.  Yes, it does seem very different that it was during our day at South.  I remember being thrown out of Jake Garn's city council meeting in 1974 for protesting Police Brutality and having a dozen or more of my fellow protestors arrested.  The cops started to arrest me but the protest organizers demanded that I couldn't be arrested because I was the PR man.  So the cops took the handcuffs off.

We are very optimistic and all of us are working our behinds off trying to make this happen for Nate.  If he wins he will be the first non-anglo ever elected to the council.  Jess Agraz served on the old Commission and Lee Martinez was appointed 18 years ago to fill an unexpired term on the Council.  I took Nate with me that night for Lee's swearing in, an event he says brought him to where we are today.

By the way folks, Nate is very different from his father.  I told him in college that he has outgrown me.  He is now a very serious young man, something his father only dreams about.

Hey Paul, don't get me started on cop history.  Thanks for the moral support for my son.  It is refreshing to see some Cub power coming out in our election.

I've affiliated with a new practice in my business and they would have no part of my old photo, the same one I was using her on this site.  I've attached the new photo on my business website as well as my affiliation with Legacy Private Wealth Advisors.  Man, when did I get that old.  Maybe I just look old?

Ladies, I think there are several of you who will come and play golf if a few of you will commit. We would encourage anyone to sign up. Most of us can't really play but we have a lot of fun.

I am still offering waterskiing or just a boat ride at Willard.  Our boat is old and worn out just like me but she can haul. I would have to trailer her from my home in southern Idaho but what fun it would be! I could be really serious about this!

That sounds really fun, Patty.  I don't know if I could still get up on one ski but I wouldn't mind giving it a try.  Cyndee Seare's father waterskied into his 80s so we are still pretty young comparatively!

PRes Miller, Pat Hamilton, is not missing, she was at the last reunion. She is married to Fred Schweimen, they live in West Jordan,

Bart I thought you were commited to the golfing fun.  Boating could wreck our hair and giv a truer picture of how life has treated us these last 45 years, but if you are serious?  Lets see if it is like riding a bike.  You never forget.  I have never played golf.  Summer is for water!

Gloria it good you are perusing the "missing classmates". What we do not have is current info to contact them. If anyone know of "missing people" from our list, see if you can't get them to join our site or get a current address for mailers.

Patty,

I am for any kind of fun!  Golf is Saturday; we could go waterskiing on Friday then it wouldn't be as crowded.  I agree that summer is for water.

I'm not interested in golfing this reunion but I was curious of anyone would be interested in an afternoon of poker, or some such, in a leisure setting with good stuff to lift our spirits in preparation of the evening event?
