Oh My, Deary Me - What sweet memories ! In the 6th picture, You will notice My kind Mum coming to visit Me, as She was want to do. She was the only one who was not too embarrassed to do so - OH, the talk in the neighborhood ! I remember frequenting Coon Chicken Inn, as well as Nohlgren's, as soon as I was awarded parole - OH, HAPPY DAY ! Many of those pictures are very near and dear to Me, as I was often found in most of those memorable locations ! I remember listening to the clicking-of-the-chain and sprockets as the Giant Coaster at Saltair lifted us Heaven-bound. Well, enough for now, lest all Cubs order Me scooter- mounted leaving town ( You may join Me, Paul )

If anyone has a site where pictures of the 60's / 70's Lagoon can be found, I would love to see them.

Fond memories, Paul.  I attended Forest School (literally got kicked out of class by some teacher with pointed shoes), Columbus and Irving.  Great pics!

Thanks.

It was quite a coincidence to see your last post Charlotte.  We (my 4 boys and I) had a discussion just Sunday about Wylie Coyote.  I have a "Favorites Survey' that my kids have filled out and updated every 3 or 4 years for many years, and he is the favorite cartoon character for 3 out of 4 of my boys...and has been for years.  When I asked them about why since I felt he was so violent to a little bird, the answers I got from them were about how smart or clever and talented he was. His tunnel paintings were actually brought up as part of his talent!

Why are there so many names missing from the profile list? Today I noticed that Jody carol, and gary Ecles aren't on there. Has anyone else noticed this?

A reunion committee has been formed and we met last night. We broke up the alumni list provided by the alumni association amongst us so we can try to contact those who have not yet signed on to the website. I was given the page A thru DIAM. I don't see Jody Carol's name on my part of the list. I'm not familiar with Gary Eccles. There are several other names on my part of the list that are not on the profiles and I'm not familiar with any of them: Gloria Adams, Kathy Aeraki, Julie Allred (Sant), Denny Anderson, Danny Anthony, Sandra Barney, Cookie Chappell, Roxanne DeGooyer. Is anyone else familiar with any of these people? Maybe those with other parts of the list will want to do this as well.

PS - Candida, that was quite the coincidence. I hope you're sharing the meme with your sons. Just in case anyone thinks that I am creating any of these memes, I'm not. I grab most of them from elsewhere on the internet. I'll let you know if any are ever actually mine.

Gloria, did you mean Steve Eccles, who was friends with Gary Johansen?  He was a year older than us.

Here is my list of people to find: Mitch Moore, Erik Neilson, Mike Nelson, Brenda Baker Nielsen, Pam Hill Nielsen, Sharon Olsen, Kathy Ward Olson, Kay Olson, Kalynn Sedgwick Packer, Joyce Palmer, Linda Parker, Sonia Perez, and Bonnie Reeder.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of any of those classmates, please let me know.

OK, I'm sure I'm not the only one who remembers this. Ms. Hill (I think that was her name) at Irving Junior would torture us with it often. I don't think I realized at the time while I was sweating away that I was being sung to by The Music Man.

I'm pretty sure Ms. Hill was High School.  Were there two of them? Did she move up to the High School?  I went to Glendale Jr.  We worked out to this same tune. I loved hearing it again, but refrained from falling into line and working up a sweat!  Thank you for sharing!

We can all do our part to find lost friends. Look at the whole list of classmate profiles and just get one or two more to sign up. Hopefully they will get caught up in looking at what everyone has been up to. We need to make this our best reunion yet, by getting more of us there. If everyone of us finds 3-5 missing people it will go a long way towards getting the word out. Thanks, Tony

Gloria, I promise you I am not trying to be a pain, the three names you mentioned aren't on any of the class lists that we or the alumni association has for our class. I went through the alumni list myself. There is an Eccles in the class of 69 (Steven) and one in 71 (Elaine). I can't find hide nor hair of the other two. I didn't look through the yearbook. Did they graduate? You find them, confirm they were in our class and I will get Pres to add them. Tony

Were any of you friends with the Bosh twins? Valerie Bosh Johnson and Vickie Bosh Nielsen. I messaged both of them on Facebook but neither has responded. Perhaps they would respond to someone who actually knew them.

Bart,  Brenda Nielsen Baker's profile is currently on our list and I've been in touch with her recently.  She regularly follows the posts on the website and is aware of the upcoming reunion.

Some of the people on our class web site are lost on the association data base. It means that they don't get the Scribe or any other all school notices. We are trying to get as many as we can onto the assoc data base as possible. Tony

Thanks for the memories Paul. It was so much fun when Sugarhouse was like an outdoor mall. i can still remember being disapointed when I found out there wasn't really a sugar house up there. I was picturing the Hansel and Gretal type of course. My Grandma use to take me to woolworths for banana splits, remember how they let you pick a balloon and, the price for your sundae would be inside? I was really lucky at picking the right balloons. Wouldn't it be awesome if we had a time machine and could take our kids back to see the world we grew up in?

Do you realize our kids have never had to get up and walk over to the Y.V. to turn it off?Remember when the remote controls came out, everybody, said why? What's so hard about getting up and walking over to the T.V.? Personaly I think I get more exercise with my remote, I'm always up looking for it. I swear the dam thing has legs.

Earlene Hemmert (Majors)

Patty how are you?  This is Earlene Hemmert Majors. I read you post about "Chicken Fat"  it was so funny to listen to that. Miss Hill (Pat) was at South.  I seem to remember Mrs Nicholson and Mrs. Reynolds were at Glendale; but I could be confused. It happens easier now days ;).  I also seem to have a memory of Mrs. McEntire, Pep Club coordinator.    See you at the Reunion.

Charlotte last time I seen either of the Bosh twins it was Valerie in Mesquite Nevada about 6 years ago she was living down there somewhere. Not much help I no but I hope it can give you a lead.

Erlene, you are so right on the names of the PE teachers.  Somehow my brain could not even come up with a maybe name, so you must be better off than I am in pulling up the facts.  I would love to see you at the reunion.  Time is marching on so very fast and reconnecting to our youth just feels like a breath of fresh air!
