I keep getting notifications in my email for "survey results" on the South70 website. When I go to it, there's nothing there....What am I missing? (Old-timers disease!)

Hello All

I'm back in the US atleast for a few weeks, And as usual when I slow down my mind doesn't. All my life I have kept myself busy, one project after another and like most of you there was work,  For me usually 60 or 70 hours a week. Even I know that was an escape. Had some personal relationships that putting it mildly just didn't work out. And thats not what I am writing about today.

Earlier this week a friend (Bill Sackett) called to check if my family and I were OK. A good friend from SH and we have kept in touch at times since. My Response the earth quake was 8,000 miles away so I am fine.  He didn't know I had returned from Thailand just a few days before the quake.  It's a great feeling when a friend calls just to see if we are OK and uninjured.  Maybe we should all do this more often.  I know I have become some what a loner. Not the best place to be but something I have become accustomed to. Almost frightening to realize being alone doesn't bother me in the least. I enjoy people and company, in limited doses.  A good visit is a short visit. And with all that said, I still have my list of friends and family that are gone, I hope to a better place. and as good as that place maybe I still miss them.

Sitting here drinking coffee, reading and replying to emails, taking a break mostly because I am tired, and listening to music and this part I write to most of you. We can from memory list the important things we have lost in life and money isn't on the list.  It's a list of friends  family that are gone. All of this for me came up from listening to my favorite artist Jim Croce. and "Time in a Bottle"

And we can't save time in a bottle.  We can make time in our lives for what is really important. I am pretty sure most of have said"when I get time I will...."  And we only get time when we make it by putting other things aside and giving that time to what is important.

Hope I didn"t bore all of you.  In a few weeks I will return to Thailand and Jezebel, No it's not a woman just my new project.  I named it Jezebel because it's beautiful and just wants to get my time and my money.

Great to hear from you, Roger.  I always enjoy your posts, learning of your life's experiences and advice.  I fondly recall hanging out at your house on Glendale Drive across the street from the milk depot and Hancock's A&W.  Althouugh we don't communicate often, I've always considered you a friend and an important part of part of my live during our formative years in our working-class Glendale neighborhood.  Hoping to see you and Bill Sackett at our 55th reunion this fall!
