Yes, mike, 2 of My favorites were, likewise, Jarrett and Petersen... never had the pleasure of being Tudored by Schwab 😁 Jeff, Many of Us were intrigued about 'Fool on the Hill' and, indeed, found it CURIOUS, including Luna😁😳

Jerry! So good to hear from you! I was worried that I had done the Forum in with my sad story since no one else has posted since I submitted that tale. It sounds like you have had something quite serious going on healthwise. I hope the doctors have you motoring along again. yes

Char, I remember that dance. all thou iI really choose to forget it. My date and the date of my friend ( can't remember who I doubled with at this time.) Did NOT get along. We left early and took them home. Then went to a movie.

Char, Thank You so VERY much for Your kindness πŸ˜‡ no doctors, but causing enough trouble that Heaven won't take Me (trying to give Me EVERY opportunity to repent ), but Hell sends Me an Invitation daily (with the RSVP) but I keep telling them to go to Hell...I mean Heaven. 😁

Wayne, I wonder if anyone had a successful date (finding one's ideal match) at that computer dance. It was probably a long shot.

I remember going to that Seminary sponsored event, but I have no recollection of the girl I went with.  But then again, she probably doesn't remember me either.  frown

Re: seminary computer date.

I don't recall how many they had but the one I went to was, in my opinion, a success.

My date was a cheerleader from Highland named Connie C.

We actually dated a few more times after that dance.  I quit asking her out after having a picnic in which I pulled out one of those glass bottles of A&W root bear from under my VW hood and it exploded, leaving me with only the handle in my hand,  It was embarassing so I quit asking her out.

I did, however, date and marry another Highland High girl.  smiley

Re: seminary dance. Because there were more girls than guys who filled out applications, Olympus high was also included. The boys that is. My friend and I doubled with two young men from Olympus High. Turned out, one was the cousin of the young man I eventually married. Life has interesting, twists, and turns.

I,too, want to express my heartfelt condolences to you, Kathy. And to anyone else out there who has experienced loss this past year. Hard to believe that we're all now in the winter of our lives.
I would also like to express my love to each and every one of my South High classmates. I rarely ponder on regrets but one thing I wish I had done better was to get to know each of my classmates on a personal level. We all had a story and I find that compelling.

And, yes, Paul Mickelson, where art thou, indeed? You and Charlotte are the Class of 70 unofficial DJ's/philosophers. We need you both to continue this craziness...

Kathy,

I am so sorry the Tommy didn't make it. I know how important he has been to you throughout your life. We were just talking on the phone while you were in the ER and he had fallen and you were waiting for results from the doctor.

You shared so many wonderful times, and I hope that you can focus on those great memories and remember how lucky you are to have found him again.

Please reach out to me when you're ready. I love you and care very much. Hate to see you going through such a sorrowful time.   Vikki

It is interesting to read the comments and the reflections from classmates.  In personal reflection and memory, I certainly wish I had been a different, better person.  However, I will say this, we were not that bad.  Looking around at what happens today, for the most part, our immature and unknowing understanding of life did lead to a fairly harmonious high school life.  As Barnum said, we were not that different that we could have known each other better.  In all, mistakes snd transgressions, is was a good group.

On another note, anyone know where Reg is?  I heard he went to Denver, then to Memphis?  If you know, drop a line. Thanks

Hallelujah! Someone else posted besides me! Thank you, Kenny.

I did manage to track Reg down, when we first started doing this website. We talked for a bit. He seemed to have no interest in high school nostalgia. I told him that I had recurring guilt because he asked me to draw a portrait of MLK from a photo he'd given me back when we were Seniors. I never did get it done. He said he didn't remember, but I still feel guilty about it. As far as tracking him down again this is the best I could do: https://prabook.com/web/reginald.hawkins/1244761     I'm fairly sure it's him.

On another note, both Preston and I have tried to get in contact with Paul Michelsen to no avail. I don't know what's wrong, but he deleted everything off his profile page. Does anyone know what's going on with him?
