Jim Steve Priskos, passed away on October 3, 2022, at the age of 70 surrounded by his loved ones. Jim was born November 5, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Growing up he was always a hard worker, always striving for better. Jim graduated from South High School in 1970, and shortly after that from the University of Utah. In 1975 Jim married the great love of his life Argie Georgelas. Jim and Argie were a match made in heaven, they were the love of each other’s lives, best friends, soul mates, and partners in all they did. Jim and Argie were always together, and recently celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary. Along the way the two of them had three sons who Jim thought were the greatest kids on earth.
Always the hard worker, Jim started and ran a successful business with his wife and eventually his 3 sons. He has now left this legacy to them to continue. His most proud legacy though were his 5 beautiful grandchildren whom he loved with his entire heart. He was the best Papou in the world to his grandchildren, and he never missed a performance, sporting event, or activity. Jim loved his grandchildren with his whole heart and by far they were his proudest achievements, they were his pride and joy and could do no wrong.
Jim was an exemplary man. He was kind and generous to all, and a true hero to all of us who knew him.
Jim was a proud life-long member of the Greek Orthodox Church, and through his faith he believed anything was possible.
Jim is preceded in death by his father Steve Priskos, and Father in-law Jim Georgelas. Survived by his best friend and wife Argie. Three sons, Steven (Allison), Jacob, Michael (Lisa). Five grandchildren, Adri, A.J., Gabe, Silas, and Alexis. Mother Vassalie Priskos and Mother in-law Mae Georgelas. Siblings, George (Mary) Priskos, Jana (Nick) De Vita, Rose (Randy) Reidelbach.
Jim was truly one of the best people on earth. He was a devoted and loving husband, a perfect hero of a dad, an amazing Papou to his grandchildren, and a loyal friend to so many. To say we are heartbroken by his passing is an understatement. Life will not be the same without him around.
