Check it out. We grew this sunflower in our backyard this year.

The sunflower has multiple heads with seeds all on one stem.

Interesting Huh?

Don't miss my son, Jeremy in Warren Miller's new movie "Line of Decent".  Jeremy (red coat, grey and also green hat) is riding his ' powsurfs' again this year in the movie with two other friends, who are also on the bindingless boards that Jeremy makes and sells worldwide.

A Warm Hello to All.  I simply wanted to do a "Shout Out" about the marvelous help I received from Jeff Chivers regarding Medicare options. No hype and no nonsense, simply great help from a South High Cub that I haven't talked to and/or seen for 47 years! Thanks JEFF..it was a real pleasure to reconnect. Wishing good things for everyone.

Thanks Frederik - happy to help!!

A word of advice for those currently on Medicare.  As we're now in Medicare's Annual Enrollment Period (AEP: October15-December 7) I recommend you contact your agent and review any changes in your situation and/or plan coverage for the coming year; as plan benefits, provider networks and prescription drug formularies change from year-to-year. Being caught unaware of such changes as we enter the new year could cost you dearly; being locked into what may be unsuitable health or drug coverage until the next AEP.   If you don't have an agent (or if the one you have seems too busy to assist in this regard) let me know and I'll do my best to review your plan and situation.

Image may contain: 4 people, people smiling, coffee cup and drink

For Veteran's Day I wanted to share a mug of my family that was created for a recent family reunion.  You'll notice all of we brothers served proudly and two were career servicemen.  The only people you folks may know are the four of us along the bottom.  The sailor left bottom, Fred (Paco), worked at South 15 or more years for the Community College. The lady to the left of me is June.  She left Salt Lake from Glendale Junior High and didn't return until the late 60s.  She was married to one of the Howcroft brothers from South back when.  The soldier to her left is Mike, he spent his career with the Salt Lake City Fire Department.
