When I heard about the price of this pass going up about a month ago I decided to see if I could buy one locally. I went here:

I was headed to the South Towne Mall anyway. All I had to do was show them my driver's license and hand over $10. Then I had my pass. So easy! If the link doesn't work for you the address is:
