There is a difference between social content and political content.  I'm sure all of us know the difference.  I'm sure that there are those that like the music videos and the reminders of a different time.  I might have listened to one or two.  The video are great.  Charolette, you bring both content and video, thank you.  I'll try to get better at posting videos.

Just an observation.  I find it amazing that we can find so much information on the internet.  Certainly the pundit takes.  But, I'm talking about the ability to get closer to the truths.  Released correspondence from before we were born.  Clearer pictures of our history.  Science.   You name it. You can find most of it.  Looking at decade old correspondence newly released, but some portion still withheld.  In all, it does paint a different picture of our past from what we thought reality was.  What we were taught in school years ago doesn't seem to jive with what really happened.  Certainly we have the choice of continuing our misconceptions.  Or, looking for a better understanding.

Years ago, in school.  We made changes and push forward a different, holistic view point than our parents.  Lol  remember when demin pants were not allowed.  Or pants on the ladies.  We all shared in a change.  What happen?  Here we are today with not a lot of significant social change.  It seems we took our eye off the ball to the point that the positive wasn't reinforced to effect real change.  The 60s had it's turmoil, but it doesn't seem as bad as it has become today.  Any thoughts?

Good Morning All

It's 7 am in Thailand so morning for me.

And Charlotte I spent a lot of time in CA mostly in the LA area.  I have never liked big cities so it was simple for me.  How soon can I finish the business here and get out.  You must have more patience than I do!

I read your post 2 times,  Wanted to be sure I didn't miss anything and just so you know I like music just not all of it.  Really good music is still around many tears after it's composed. And I have watched and listened to many of the linls posted here.

As for DJT and The Bidens thats not a discussion I will get into sober So I pass  on any coments about  them.

I think it was Ken that comented on the internet. I did work for the US government for 25 years and we find out what we thought was correct in years past we now know was wrong. Our understanding of history is constantly being upgraded and the government tells us what they want us to know or what they can't hide anymore. A friend also with a security clearance just like the one I have said something I quote "When you look at all the and all the information and it makes no sense  They didn't give you all the facts"

Thanks

Roger

No, I pulled this picture off Facebook. But I did have a Cooties set way back when.

My favorite toy that I ever received was a battery powered gyroscope that ran on 6 AA batteries. It wasn't one of those dinky ones that you pulled a string to get it to spin. It was probably 10" across all togetherThe batteries were in this ring that snapped down aroung the outside and set the gyroscope to spinning. Once it got up to speed you could really feel the G-forces when you tried to move it to a different angle. When you popped it out of the ring it would spin forever. I took it for show and tell in sixth grade and Mrs. Taylor was very impressed with it.

It made me really unhappy to find out that my mother had given it, as well as all my other toys, to my oldest brothers children after I had gotten married and moved out. I'm sure they destroyed it quickly. I wish I still had it.

Thanks for the "Western Airlines" video Paul! That's the airline  I started working for in the 80's ;)

And Char...my parents had that exact same station wagon! Great memories of traveling in the back of that thing and many stops to "barf" along the way :D
