Bart Croxford
Shawn's obituary didn't mention that the graveside service is at 10:00 Friday morning.
Shawn was my roommate at Utah State; he played basketball and I played football on the freshman teams in 1970-71. He was such a good-looking guy that probably could have dated any girl he wanted but he was probably too shy and he never married. He promised his father that he would take care of his mother until she died, which he did until a few years ago. He didn't believe in assisted living centers and, even though he really could have used one, he never did commit himself to one. His quality of life was really poor the last few years but he considered himself one of the luckiest men alive because so he had so much help from friends and neighbors. He was sharp as a tack and worked for Workers' Compensation until a few months ago. He always kept me informed about who had died that we both knew. I will really miss him even though it really hurt to see him in the horrible living condition in which he lived.
