I wanted to share the passing of another classmate.  His obit in this morning's Trib.

You may remember Ron Montoya.  He attended South in his Sophomore and part of his Junior year before dropping out.  I met Ron in the 5th grade at Glendale when the family moved to Salt Lake from Riverton, Wyoming.  We immidiately became friends as I was from Laramie.  It turned out his Dad and my Uncles were close friends in Central Wyoming back in the 30s and joined together to serve in World War II.

Ron and I stayed close until our married years when we drifted seeing eachother only from time to time or for funerals.  He raised a beautiful family and leaves a fantastic legacy.

Chuck, thanks for the head's up on Ron's passing.  Like you, I knew Ron (Ronnie as we called him then) since elementary school.  He was a somewhat shy kid but with a great, subtle sense of humor.  Some of those that attended Glendale may remember the "Mr Black, Mr. Black!  Somebody stole my glasses!!" practical joke he pulled in shop class.  A classic!!!  Sorry to learn of his passing.  A reminder of the frailty of life and how we must live each day as if it is our last . . . because it may be!!

That song made me smile, Paul. (I had such a crush on Peter Tork when I was a teenybopper.)

By the way, what's official?

Char,

It's official. I'm a Dinosaur!

A Kid told me the other day his father is 55 and he is a dinosaur.

Well, that makes me a dinosaur too. I'm older than that...

Maybe even an old fossil. Who knows? It's about time.

This is a funny line from the comments section on this video:

{"there's a bathroom on the right" ... well that's what I thought he sang back in the day when I was listening to it on a crappy transistor radio. Loved CCR.}

Enjoy the light show! smiley

A big THANKS  to Jeff Chivers for his help wading through the Medicare maze! He was so generous with his time helping us transition from employer provided health insurance to Medicare. I don't know how we would have gotten through this without him.  I encourage anyone facing retirement to call him for his no nonsense help with this.
