Thanks, Paul! Do you remember how scary these cheesy movies were when we were kids? I was convinced the wolfman was living in the basement. The basement in our house only had a pull-chain light bulb that was at the bottom of the stairs and about 4 feet into the room. And it was very creepy down there besides that. When my mother sent me to the basement to get something I would have to stand at the top of the stairs and listen for noises. After steeling myself for a moment or two I would sprint down the stairs with the idea of grabbing the string to the light (which I had to feel around for since it was pitch black) before the wolfman could get me. He'd disappear once the light was on, of course.

Good story Paul! (If I comment on your posts you can't delete them, right?)

So, I spotted this one on Facebook. Would any of you bikers care to own this?

Sorry for the long post Cubs but this really hit my high button.  My former colleges at the Trib have never endorsed a hispanic candidate as I recall and it feels great to hear the Editorial Board say such nice things about my son.

I hope I didn't offend the paper by splicing up thier endorsement page.

I saw the article about Nate and the other candidate in the Tribune today, Chuck. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him since I don't live in SLC proper and can't help him out with a vote.

A couple of great classics, Paul, although I must admit Maple Street is a little to realistic these days!   I always love the Twilight Zone!

And I truly love Nightmare Before Christmas, Char.  I will have to make time to watch that this month!

I don't think I've heard that song since I was a teenager, Paul. How do you remember all these good ones?

Here's something more on the creepy side:

Hey fellow cubbies! Don't let Paul and I take over the forum. Where are all the rest of you?

I'm going to attempt to give a little tutorial on posting Youtube videos just in case you haven't figured it out. I only know Windows (PC) so if you're a Mac user you'll have to figure it out yourself.

If you look up at the top left corner of the screen you'll see a tab showing the screen you're in - like mine says Message Froum - Add Res right now. But notice there is a little gray tab just to the right of it. If you left click on that it will bring up a new window; mine comes up in a Google search. Now go to the url address - that is the long white box that's just under the tab. Left click on that and the url address that is currently in the box will turn blue. That means you can type something new over the top of it. Type Youtube.com and enter and it will take you to Youtube.

There will be a search box on the Youtube home screen. Type in what you are looking for like halloween pranks or Rolling Stones and a bunch of videos will come up for you to check out and sort through. You can always type something very specific like the name of a song or a person.

Once you find the video you want look up at the url address again. Left click on the url address and it will turn blue. Then right click on the url address and a drop down menu will appear. Select Copy and left click on it. You have now copied the url address.

Go back to the tabs at the very top and click on the one that says Message forum which will bring you back to this page. Then left click on the box that says Post Response. A new box will appear where you post your messages as most of you have probably done. Type a message if you want to or go straight to posting the video. To do this look at all the tool boxes at the top of this message box. The very last one has a little Youtube icon in black and red. Click on this box and a new box will come up where you'll be putting the url address from the video you selected.

Right click on the long white box where the cursor is flashing and the drop down menu will come up. Left click on Paste and the url address from Youtube will be copied in the box. Left click on OK. You won't see the video in the message box. Instead a box will appear at the top of the screen informing you that the video will only appear as an icon. Left click the box that says OK and a red box saying IFRAME will appear on the message screen. Now all you have to do is click the submit button and your message and/or video will appear in the forum.

I hope more of you do this. It's been fun exchanging videos with Paul.

Time for a silly one!

Since I need a dental implant and have to live with a flipper (substitute tooth with a sort of retainer) until it's complete, I am fascinated how Bette Midler managed to sing around those absurd fake teeth they gave her.

surpriseblush I'll  tell you a true story about my oldest daughter" Stacy" who  passed  away ten years ago on the 25. of October.broken heart When  she was born she  failed  to  thrive, You could spend two hours, trying to feed her 2 oz. she only gained 4 oz. in one month's  time.  She spent two weeks in the new born intensive care nersery,  they taught us how  Ng  feed  her  for  those, that don't  understand, what I talking about, its where you slip a tube through her nose to her stomach. and feed her through syringe. we had to due this for about five months, till she finaly took off on her own.  and started to thrive.  The strange about this is when she was in intensive care my mom went to the hospital with us took a picture of her,  it came back with a hailo over her head!!  Who says there are not angels on this world??   GARY

Very touching stories Gary.  I believe they are with us and looking out for us.  My Mother told many  stories of the "others" visiting us.  Many times I've been in situations I thought I would not survive but a little voice always came to me and said:  calm down, it will be ok.  And it was.

I feel so bad for you that you and your wife lost your little one.  I hope the healing has been pleasant knowing she is in a better place.

As for the halloween stuff, I've always been clairvoyant and I really don't get too shook up until they start touching my hair, sharing their fragrance or sending their peronsal ghostly chills all through my body.  One of the older sisters did visit me one afternoon to let me know she had passed.  We got the call later that night.

For the present my former classmates, we are all a basketcase with the campaign.  So many so impressed by my son.  What an honor.
