Rory married Janet Smart (South High 1971) Feb 7, 1974. They had 4 children. Jan died Mar 20, 1982. He later married Lynn Elsmore who had five children. Rory and Lynn had one more child. He is survived by Lynn, all 10 children and stepchildren and many grandchildren.

What a great guy Rory was! I am sorry but I didn't hear about his passing until recently and I still didn't believe it. Rory didn't have an easy life but he was always sincere and friendly. And he had a great curve ball! I wish there were more Rorys in the world.Richard Ehlert
Rory was a true friend and an example of a real family man. In spite of his best efforts, his genetic make-up caught up with him. Rory and Jan are the type of people that make you grateful that death is not a final goodbye.

Rory was one of the nicest guys in our class. He always treated me with the upmost respect and never judged me for my beliefs or attitudes. I wish I could've talked with him before he died.
