Ahhh - reflections - It's interesting looking back, but I would never want to do any of it over again.  Life has many great lessons, both from great, as well as, less enjoyable experiences.  Every day is simply a new adventure!  As for your destination picks Char, mine came out 'stay at home'. Can't imagine why! (Covid!!) I hope all of you cubbies are having a delightful holiday season and making memories at home or where ever life is taking you.  HAPPY HOLIDAYS everyone!!!

A big "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" and heart-felt THANKS to Preston Miller for setting up and funding the South High Class of 1970 website all these years!!  This site has contributed greatly to the closeness our class keeping our friendships fresh and alive as we've pursued our diverse lives these past 50+ years.

All the best to you, Preston, and also to each member of the Class of 1970 as we look forward (hopefully) to a belated reunion this coming summer!!

Jeff, I'm glad you revealed the secret about who has been providing this website for all of us for all of these years. I've often wondered if anyone ever asked the question about who was providing us with this opportunity. Preston didn't want anyone to know and has often expressed his joy in being able to do it. That's just the kind of guy Preston is. I'm glad to now publicly thank him again. Thanks Preston.

Ditto Richard.  I never knew Pres until the 40th reunion.  I found him to be totally honest and a sincere indifidual.  Thank you Pres.

Okay...raise your hand if you feel old. How about Klinger, now 86 years old. Hot Lips Hoolahan is 83!

As a great Grandma...I definitely feel old...especially tending little kiddos daily!  I guess that's why I enjoy your "Good Old Days" posts so much, Paul!

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you all have a wonderful day and stay safe always. A special shout out to Pres Miller.  Thank you for everything you do and have always done to bring our tribe together. We don't always agree with each other's views, but we will always be Cubs. This may not be politically correct but God Bless you all and your families. Hopefully we can all meet together in 2021. I hope you all have a safe and Happy New Year..

This time of year takes me back to our A'capella and Bel Canto Days. Mr Willardsen was pretty good at booking us to some very fun places. You got to get out of school and travel, sing, laugh, mess around and then go back to school all while having it approved! The people in those classes were fanastic and talented. George Henry would play the piano and we all learned the words to songs including Christmas songs I still remember. Music brings me the real meaning of Christmas very quickly and I must thank those who were part of my South High experience in that space.

I am grateful many of you are still connecting on this site and so you know I can see who checks it and there are many, even a great many, that read but do not communicate. This site offers us a space to recognize those that have passed on as well as some fun ideas, comments and pictures.

May we grow much older together for a long time is my hope for you and for me.

Please stay safe and stay tuned for our reunion in the coming year we hope.

God Bless you South High Cubs. Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

PRESTON,

THANKS FOR BEING THE GLUE THAT KEEPS US CUBS TOGETHER. WE TRULY HAD A FABULOUS CLASS OF 1970.  I TOO REMEMBER THOSE FUN ESCAPES WE HAD WITH A'CAPELLA AND BEL CANTO. CAPTIOL THEATER, THE ALTA CLUB AND MANY MORE GIGS.  I LEARNED MORE FROM MR. WILLARDSEN THAN FROM ANY OTHER TEACHER I'M QUITE SURE.  HE TAUGHT US THINGS THAT WOULD HELP US THROUGH LIFE'S SITUATIONS.

THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES ALL YOU WONDERFUL CUBS.  MAY WE ALL HAVE A BETTER  UPCOMING 2021 AND KISS THIS CORONOCOLYPS GOODBYE.  TAKE CARE AND BE HEALTHY ALL YOU CUBS!

WARMEST ALOHA,

MARY B
